Clinton Larson

Track Records and Service to Country

Clinton Larson was an acclaimed track athlete of his day. In 1914, while still in high school, he broke a track record. While attending BYU, it was not uncommon for him to win up to eight first place medals in one track meet. During World War I he represented the United States at the Inter–Allied Games in Paris.

Following his war service, Larson became a teacher and coach in Salt Lake City where he had a distinguished career. He was inducted into the BYU Hall of Fame in 1975. His papers are housed in Perry Special Collections and these artifacts are part of the donation.
