Another popular grammar, the Erotemata was the first book published by the press, in February/March 1495 (exactly five hundred years ago). The 1512 edition is the third Aldine edition. Lascaris's Erotemata was not only Aldus's first book, but in its 1476 Milan edition, it was the first book ever to be printed entirely in Greek.
