Amy
Brown Lyman (1888-1957) was called in 1919 as director of
the Relief Society Service Department, a unique missionary
opportunity as she traveled to Atlantic City to participate
in welfare work. Amy accompanied her husband, Richard R.
Lyman (1870-1963), in his call to preside over the European
Mission from 1936 to 1938. Later, as a counselor in the Relief
Society general presidency, Amy worked with the Northwestern
States Mission, appearing in the Mission Relief Society Bulletin.
